First and foremost, Anchor Exteriors is a family-owned business dedicated to serving the residents of our community. Owner and CEO, James Hickling, is local to Hampton Roads and from a proud military family. Starting his career in roofing while still a student at Kempsville High School, he continued honing his professional skills in college and soon graduated from Wesleyan University.
Fresh out of college and breaking into the job market, James became a loan officer in the mortgage market. Eventually, he transitioned into the remodeling industry, and after some time, came to own Anchor Exteriors—a Class-A exterior restoration business specializing in roof contracting.
Since opening Anchor Exteriors, James has racked up a variety of certifications such as: Class A VA Contractor, GAF® system plus installer, and fully-insured provider. He’s built a team of trusted professionals to provide a variety of roofing and exterior services. James personally runs all of our roofing projects himself, applying sharp attention to detail and expert problem-solving to all of your property’s work!
